Spring cleaning tips for a faster (and better) clean
Put all your cleaning supplies into a caddy. This makes it easier to go from room to room without interruption.
Always clean from the top down. Start at the top of a room, such as the top of a cabinet or by cleaning a ceiling fan, and work your way down. This eliminates “double cleaning” a surface when dust falls down from above.
If possible, clean two areas at once. Set the oven to clean or put window treatments into wash while you clean another area. For an easier spring cleaning, hire a floor cleaner to deep clean carpets and floors while you organize or clean the garage or basement.
Try to avoid washing windows on a sunny day. The sun can dry out the cleaner quickly and leave streaks.
Always test your cleaners. Be careful about using cleaners for the first time; some cleaners can discolor or damage surfaces or floors. When cleaning floors, ask a local flooring pro to recommend a cleaner that won’t damage the floor or void the warranty.
